Job Summary
Supporting accountant manager by processing accounting transactions, under direction of manager.
Responsibilities
- Manage accounts receivable, including billing and collections
- Manage accounts payable, performing weekly check runs
- Prepare account reconciliations and bank account reconciliations
- Prepare various required construction reports for Project Managers
- Communicate with project personnel and external vendors for company project related questions and requests
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor degree in accounting preferred
- Prior accounting experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelor degree
- Experience: At least two to five years experience in accounting
- Must have considerable knowledge of basic accounting principles (i.e. journal entries, debits, credits, etc.)
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Ability to accurately work under pressure in meeting deadlines
- Must have excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficient knowledge of computer use, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Knowledge of QuickBooks preferred
- Bilingual a plus
